5 Week |Throwing Class

Join us in this five week beginner wheel throwing class. This class teaches students the basics of pottery and ceramics. During the class, students will learn how to work with clay, including how to shape, form, and glaze their creations. The class meets once a week for two hours hours, and students will have access to a pottery studio and all necessary equipment. Each student is also provided with a 25 lbs bag of clay (additional clay available for purchase at studio pricing).

Throughout the class, students will be guided by an experienced instructor who will provide demonstrations and offer one-on-one instruction as needed. In addition to learning technical skills, students will also have the opportunity to explore the creative possibilities of pottery and develop their own artistic vision. 

In the first few weeks of the class, students will learn about the properties of clay and how to work with it using various tools and techniques. As the class progresses, students will have the opportunity to refine their skills and develop their own style and techniques. The final week of is glazing night where students are provided with the studio glazes to finish and decorate all of their pieces they have made. 

By the end of the five week class, students should have a solid foundation in pottery and be able to create a variety of functional and decorative pieces.
